Burke Jardine, DMDProsthodontics
The decision to become a prosthodontist after becoming a mechanical engineer (BYU–‘03) and a dentist (UNLV–‘07) may not seem like a typical combination. But for Burke, he has been able to take his passion of figuring things out, designing, and building better things and merge that with dentistry to become a prosthodontic specialist. As a prosthodontist, he can see the big picture of how the mouth works, the small intricate parts of the gums and teeth, and the artistry to create a smile for his patients’ needs that they will love.
Dr. Jardine brings his unique training, skills, and talents to Smiles Dental Longview. After his four years of dental school training at UNLV, he practiced family dentistry for three years. He went on to complete a three-year dental residency to specialize as a prosthodontist at LSU. A prosthodontist is a dental specialist who has significantly more training in every aspect of dentistry, particularly implants, implant restorations, cosmetic makeovers, dentures, and other complex dental prostheses. Often dentists and other dental specialists will refer their patients to Dr. Jardine for specialized care.
Burke has been married for 14 years to Amber, and they have four children – two boys and two girls. They love to have family pizza, movie, and ice cream night, go on bike rides, and spend time exploring the area. They are excited to be living in the beautiful Northwest.
